I want to thank those nurses that I thought helped me out and really cared for me, making me feel comfortable and real safe. I want to thank with all my heart nurses. All of the staff has been wonderful, especially housekeeping. They have been magnificent, always keeping this place top notch and clean. I love the experience, especially my self-growth. Your loving, caring, and compassion helped me in so many ways!
I would personally like to extend my gratitude for making my stay here a comfortable one. Your loving, caring, and compassion helped me in so many ways! It takes a very special person to do what you do. I’m sure at times you may feel that what you are doing goes unnoticed, but you really do make a difference.
From the medical doctor, to the psychiatrists, to the social workers and nurses, I thank you. While it’s tough to keep track of all the names, a few did stick out: Tom, Meg, Nicole, Sweetie, and Jerome: Thank you all so much! You can count on never seeing me again (which is a good thing). This just means you did your job.

You restored my sense of self-worth and gave me hope when I was hopeless.
Today I am six months sober. I came to you after five days of detox. I’ve been extremely lucky to have found an AA group in Summit that has continued to meet in person twice a day throughout the pandemic. Please share with the entire staff my love and gratitude. I honestly don’t think that I ever believed true change was possible. You all gave me tools to cope with and manage that change. Most importantly, you made me rediscover that I have value. You restored my sense of self-worth and gave me hope when I was hopeless. That is a priceless gift. All of my many thanks and love.

Thank you Nurse Betsy
The transition to Summit Oaks Hospital to the co-occurring unit for my continued treatment was not easy for me. It felt overwhelming and stressful because my guarded disposition caused me to be reluctant in trusting anyone. However, these concerns began to dissipate because of one nurse in particular. I have come to the realization that some individuals who come into my life, even for just a short while, have become the important people, or one of such great quality, that enhance one’s sense of worth; Most importantly, at times in which it is most needed.
Betsy, who is the nurse on the afternoon shift is most deserving of this recognition. Her calming disposition is remarkable and sincere. Her professionalism is met by all patients who are privileged to be cared for by her. Betsy is truly appreciated. I looked forward to her comforting ways and her innate disposition to care, by enhancing the overall quality in health, wellness, and recovery for her patients.
Without hesitation, Summit Oaks should absolutely be grateful to have her. Thank you, Nurse Betsy.
